KELLIE NORTHAM

CNM, PMNHP, PMH-C

Kellie graduated from Frontier Nursing University and has provided women’s health care as Certified Nurse Midwife since September 2012.  Her career as a nurse-midwife includes a 9-month Ruth Brexendorf Stifel Fellowship at the Midwife Center for Birth and Womens Health in Pittsburgh, PA; a year as an independent home birth midwife in Council Bluffs, IA, and 4 years as Clinical Director of Midwifery at New Beginnings Birth Center in Meridian, Idaho.  Kellie owns Boise River Birth Center, in addition to Momma Inc.

Her passion for providing access to appropriate mental health care during the perinatal year has led her back to Frontier Nursing University for certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.  With additional certification from Postpartum Support International, Kellie provides specialized mental health care for women struggling with anxiety, depression, or other mood disorders throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

JESSICA NORTHAM

LPC, RDT, PMH-C

Since 2016, Jessica has been working in clinical, educational, and humanitarian settings as a drama therapist. Jessica gained registration with the North American Drama Therapy Association in 2018 as a drama therapist. In previous positions, she gained extensive knowledge and experience working with developmental trauma, complex trauma, and stress-related disorders such as PTSD, perinatal mental health, and crisis response. Jessica brings to her work as a counselor a dynamic and trauma-centered lens that is open to individuals from all walks of life. Her goal as a mental health care provider is to help her clients identify their strengths and create change.

Jessica takes a holistic and integrative approach to counseling that includes seeing each individual as a whole being made of many parts, with lived experiences that inform behavior and emotions. Her background includes working with individuals experiencing the impacts of trauma and transitioning through the perinatal period, including conception, pregnancy, and postpartum.

From a person-centered psychodynamic lens, she focuses on developing a therapeutic relationship to create a safe place to explore the client's struggles and together, facilitate an experience of change. Receiving support and choosing to counsel can sometimes be intimidating. Whatever walk of life you are on, Jessica invites you to reach out and see if we would be a good fit.
